Demetra Koelling

Demetra Koelling is President of My HR Director, LLC.  Demetra is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute. She teaches graduate level Human Resource Management at The University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She was graduated with honors from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. After college, she served a two year tour as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Ecuador. Demetra earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.

Demetra held executive roles in major corporations handling human resources and labor and employment matters. She served as senior employment counsel with Sears, Roebuck and Co. providing guidance on employee and labor relations. As a human resource compliance executive at The Boeing Co. Demetra directed implementation of a  U.S. Department of Labor OFCCP settlement agreement dealing with processes in hiring, promotion, compensation and EEO self-monitoring. Additionally, Demetra led human resources for Clear Channel Communications during its growth from 1,500 employees to over 50,000 globally. Demetra is bilingual and has developed and delivered workplace training in English and Spanish.
